My name is John, and I’m the creator behind Holiday Woods. My family and I are proud to call Bedford County, Virginia home—a place rich in history, tradition, and inspiration for everything we create. For the past 16 years, I worked in communications for multiple government agencies, specializing in video production and storytelling. During that time, I was honored to receive International Communicator Awards, Telly Awards, and W3 Awards for my work as a producer and editor on television projects throughout the South Florida area. While those accomplishments meant a lot, I discovered that what truly brings me joy is something much simpler—creating meaningful, handcrafted cutting boards and personalized wood pieces that make people smile.

Holiday Woods was born from that passion.

We specialize in custom wood creations, including our popular handcrafted cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and personalized wood pieces designed for holidays, special occasions, and memorable gifts. Every piece is made with care, combining thoughtful design, quality materials, and precise laser engraving to create something truly unique. In addition to our woodworking, we proudly offer our Virginia coffee collection, The Virginian Line—a premium coffee inspired by the rich history and heritage of Virginia. Each blend is crafted to deliver bold, smooth flavor while reflecting the character of the region we call home.
